About top5china
top5china curates shortlists for people outside China who need to buy from it, travel to it, or use its tools from abroad. We publish one careful top 5 instead of a long directory.
How we pick the top 5
We don’t list everything. We pick five. Every shortlist starts from a specific question a real buyer, traveller or remote user is asking, and the first job is to decide which five things answer it best.
Fit over volume. Each entry earns its place for one defined use case, not because it is popular or easy to import. A larger list would look busier and help less.
Checked, not assumed. We test pricing, availability and whether something actually works from outside China before it is listed. Lists are re-verified on a rolling basis, so an old page reflects recent checks rather than last year’s notes.
Paid placement is disclosed and labelled. If a slot is sponsored, you will see it marked as such. The order of the top 5 itself is never for sale.
Updated when it breaks. When an entry stops working for its stated audience, we remove it or replace it rather than leave a dead recommendation in place.
Who it’s for
top5china is written for overseas buyers sourcing from China, travellers planning a trip, and anyone abroad who depends on China-based platforms and tools. If a list does not help one of those people make a decision, it does not belong here.
Corrections and feedback
We get things wrong, and lists age quickly. If a price changed, a service stopped working, or we missed a better option, write to hello@top5china.com. Corrections are checked against our own verification before a page is updated.
